A visit to the recently opened Shoemakers Museum in Street.
The first 16 people to register will have the option of the full tour (see below). If we exceed that number, there are options for coming along.
Please read the following from the museum and then register here on or before 31st January. I will then follow-up with everyone before confirming numbers, etc. with the museum in the first week of February:
We look forward to your group visiting Shoemakers Museum on 24 February for a museum and archive tour and a day out with your fellow Aston Martin owners.
Arrival from 10am – Park up – space for 6 to 8 vehicles on the museum driveway (NB drive in, reverse out).
11.00 – 12.00am
Start with a guided tour of Shoemakers Museum galleries. Our collections team will point out the highlights of the exhibition and the stories behind them.
A 45-minutes guided tour of the shoemaking galleries, plus 15 minutes self-guided explore of the fossil gallery.
Group size 10 - 40 people (A comfortable museum tour size is 20 max, for larger groups we will split you into 2 groups).
Lunch 12-2pm
2:00pm- 2.45pm
Additional Behind the Scenes Archive tour for the first 16. An exclusive look behind the scenes in the strong rooms of the museum archives. Guided by our archivist this is an up close view of some of the items not on display and an insight into the work of our archivists.
Group size maximum 16 (2 groups of 8)
- Museum only tour £14
- Archive only tour £20 You can visit the museum with this ticket.
- Full tour of the museum and archives £25 pp.
- Self guided tour of the museum only £7.50
