This event is now fully booked.
This is a very special event, shared with the Bentley Drivers Club (Western Region), offering rare access to the inner workings of the Fleet Air Arm Museum and its conservation centre, hosted by chief conservator, Dave Morris.
The FAAM is deservedly one of the most popular attractions of the southwest, telling the history of Naval flight from its earliest days, through two world wars, the Falklands and beyond. Even if you know the museum well, there will be much to learn from Dave and his team, especially regarding their progress in restoring a (unique) Fairey Barracuda.
After parking our Astons (and Bentleys), we will meet from 11:00 in a private room for coffee and introductions. We will then have time to explore the museum before enjoying a quality buffet lunch and fruit, cakes, scones, etc. to follow. Dave will then host our groups in the conservation centre to explain the Barracuda's fascinating story. Our day will end around 15:00.
Please register to reserve your place. Full details and how to pay will be provided after registration (closing date and final date for payment is Friday 2nd August).
